"Painting in various regions such as New England, New Mexico and Italy, I have become aware of the differences in light, color and textures of terrain. Plein air painting has its challenges (wind, cold, rain, heat) but nothing compares to capturing nature on location 'in the field'. Annually I return to the Green Mountains of Vermont for inspiration and for creating New American Impressionist paintings."
